Arrangements for Appointment of Mayor, Mayoral Committee 25 February 2009 (Minute No. MYR1 refers)
The Mayoral Committee considered a Part II report making recommendations
for the appointment of Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the 2009/10 Municipal Year.
Council is requested to note these recommendations as follows. Formal
confirmation will be sought at the annual meeting.
Mayor – Councillor Fraser
Deputy Mayor – Councillor Wright

The Mayoral Committee had considered a Part II report which made recommendations for the appointment of Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the 2009/10 Municipal Year as follows:
Mayor – Councillor Fraser
Deputy Mayor – Councillor Wright.
The Council noted these recommendations, which would be formally confirmed at the annually meeting. The Leader commended Councillor Loftus on her achievements as Mayor over the last year.
Arrangements for Appointment of Mayor
Minutes:
The Committee received a report of the Strategic Director – Corporate and Policy which requested the Committee to make a recommendation to the Full Council with regard to the appointment of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the 2009/10 municipal year.
As per the Council’s Mayoral Selection
Guidelines it was recommended that Councillor F Fraser be appointed as Mayor and
Councillor M Wright be appointed as the Deputy Mayor for the 2009/10 municipal year.
RESOLVED:
That it be recommended to Council:
(1) that Councillor F Fraser be appointed as the Mayor for the
2009/10 municipal year; and
(2) that Councillor M Wright be appointed as the Deputy Mayor for
the 2009/10 municipal year.
