To approve the Home to School Travel and Transport Policy (Statutory School Age) which has been revised to include some recommendations from the Local Government Ombudsman about strengthening information to parents/carers, and to allow parents and carers the right to appeal to the Independent Appeal Panel in person as well as submitting written documentation.

Consultation process
As there is no
proposed change to the eligibility criteria for assistance with transport,
consultation has been internal within key Council Departments involved in the
assessment and implementation process of the Policy (Education, Transport
Coordination, Legal and Democratic Services).
